Three days later Ryan sat at his new small desk in the corner of Graham’s office. He wasn’t sure if the water incident was the reason Graham decided Ryan needed his own desk, or if he thought it would be better for Ryan to have a separate space. A brand new state-of-the-art laptop sat in front of him. Yeah, the old one he was using fried during the water incident, and Graham not only bought himself a new one but ordered one for Ryan. Now all of the ranch’s computers had every warranty under the sun on them.

Ryan shifted carefully on the pillow he sat on, trying to find a comfortable position for his tender skin and aching balls. This morning Callum made good on his threat to spank him. By the time the big guy finished paddling his ass and fucking his brains out, Ryan had come three times. Combined with the long love session of the night before, and Ryan’s balls were objecting.

“Hey, Ryan.” Tyler walked into the office and flopped down into a chair across the desk from Ryan.

“What’s up?” he asked. Something about the expression on Tyler’s face told Ryan there was something on his mind.

“I thought I’d warn you. Steve called Graham and said he should be back on the ranch sometime at the end of the week.” Tyler picked up a pen from Ryan’s desk and started fiddling with it.

“Why the warning?” Ryan frowned, thinking he must have missed something in Tyler’s sentence.

“When Steve and Stan are in the same room the fireworks are bigger than the fourth of July. Graham has had enough of the drama and is going to sit them both down and talk to them about it,” Tyler explained.

“Well, thanks for the warning. I’ll make myself scarce when that happens.” Ryan watched Tyler become real interested in the pen he was twisting around his fingers.

“Tyler, what’s wrong?” Ryan asked.

Tyler looked up from staring at the pen. Misery covered his face. “My dad’s coming back from his vacation in Florida tomorrow.”

“Why aren’t you happy about that?” Ryan asked. If it were his father, he would be ecstatic. Even thinking about him, Ryan’s heart hurt he missed him so much.

“So much has happened. Me and my brothers and sister have always resented that Dad wouldn’t do more to protect us from my mother’s manipulation.” Tyler was back to watching the pen flipping around again. “It felt so good when dad put her in her place during that last meeting. We all needed to confront her, with him present, about her actions against us throughout our childhood. Later we all admitted that it had been hard holding back from applauding when he told her he was getting a divorce.”

“Do you hear from her anymore?” Ryan asked.

“No. I think she calls Dad to threaten him once in a while. She’s pretty much disowned the rest of us,” Tyler answered. Tyler raised his head, and there were tears in his big blue eyes.
